Got a tour of the Canadian Forces College not too far from where I live. It’s an absolutely beautiful campus, lots of space, very nice classrooms and conference rooms, and their mess hall is in a super old building (the old residence of John Armour, a local farmer who the area Armour Heights was named after). So yeah, wicked afternoon, and they had these on the property.
Naval turret, with a range of twenty miles.
Inside the turret.
Turret controls.
Taaaaaank. I think a Leopard II? EDIT: Maybe a Leopard I? Anyway, it’s a Leopard.
CF-104.
Overall, neat afternoon. Got to talk politics with a professor, which was pretty cool. However, I have come to realize I need a phone with a better camera.

Right, forgot to put a story in the post. Anyway, I’ll just throw it down here:
So, in the mess hall, there are two bars. One of the bars, in the 80s, had the ceiling burned by some Australians who were there taking classes. The Australians (whatever their armed forces are) offered to pay to put in repairs, on the requirement that they also got to decorate the bar. So, the bar now has Aussie flags, rugby jerseys, a surfboard, a kangaroo drawing, and a plaque for the ANZAC forces in it. It’s really quite hilarious.

Actually, it was an RCAF college until the 60s when all of the armed forces were brought together.

What small-caliber naval rifle had a range of 20 miles?

Apparently that one? I dunno, I was going off with what my guide told me.

Its a dual-purpose 76mm setup, range is more like 5-7 km effective, at best.

Its a Leopard I, I think. I’m not very versed on Canadian tanks lol

That sounds more realistic. 20 miles is more like Mk7 16" territory.
